♟️ The Mecca pact quietly extends a nuclear-adjacent shield over the Gulf

Saudi Arabia, Pakistan and Turkey signed the Mecca Joint Defence Agreement on August 7 as Hormuz transits collapsed to 8-15 vessels a day from a pre-war 130. It folds a nuclear-armed state into Gulf security for the first time, just as Brent crude jumped 5% to $87.72.
