What's in the free newsletter?

Daily macro roundup (The Day in View) and weekly educational deep-dives (Macro Indicators in Focus). Enough to stay ahead without overwhelm. No spam. We have running costs but also standards.

Is the membership worth it?

Depends what you are after. Member ($99/yr) adds the regional deep-dives across five geographies, the geopolitics roundup, and sector spotlights to the free tier. Pro ($247/yr) layers The Watchlist and The Strategy on top of that — the quantitative products, for people who want levels and allocations alongside the editorial. If you just want the daily headlines, free is fine. We won't guilt you.

What's The Watchlist, exactly?

A daily signal system with trend and range levels for major indices, sectors, fixed income, commodities, currencies, and crypto. Each asset gets probable mean-reversion levels and a directional trend outlook (bullish, bearish, neutral). It's a process for disciplined investors who'd rather have a framework than a hot take. Available to Pro subscribers.

What's The Strategy?

A daily quantitative product. Allocations and portfolio pivots across major asset classes, updated every market day. Available to Pro subscribers.

Can I cancel anytime?

Yes. No tricks, no guilt. If it's not working for you, go. We'll still be here if you come back.

Who can comment?

Visitors can read but not comment. Free members can comment on free posts. Member and Pro subscribers can comment on all posts.

What emails will I receive?

You choose. Every Macro Soup product has its own newsletter: the daily roundup, weekly roundup, each regional edition, geopolitics, industry, and the analytical products. After subscribing, you can turn individual newsletters on or off in your account settings. You won't receive emails for products your tier does not include.

Who writes this?

A small team with backgrounds in finance and tech. We're deliberately faceless. The work should speak for itself. If it doesn't, a headshot won't fix it.

Can I add Macro Soup to my phone or tablet's home screen?

Yes. It works like an app shortcut, with the Macro Soup icon. On Android (Chrome): open macrosoup.com in Chrome, tap the three-dot menu in the top right, and select 'Add to home screen'. Confirm the name and tap 'Add'. On iPhone or iPad (Safari): open macrosoup.com in Safari, tap the share button at the bottom of the screen (the square with an arrow pointing up), scroll down, and tap 'Add to Home Screen'. Tap 'Add' to confirm.
